Friends hanging out together on a cool and wet Sunday Evening in Chicago wrote their names in the dewdrops on the “Bean”, otherwise known as the Cloud Gate. It’s such a personal declaration to the world. It’s also incredibly casual. There’s no ceremony. It’s a statement of fact. But it’s also a statement of a kind of love.
However, they thought it was going to be a temporary declaration. Didn’t they know that this is the most photographed piece of Art in Chicago? Well, how am I going to disappoint the odds of that! : – )
Still, I admire the casual declaration. How could something so strong be declared so ephemerally?
